If every team on campus had a member who is an ACTIVE Ally to the LGBTQIA+ community, then sports would be safer and more enjoyable for all. When we say "Active Ally" we mean someone who witnesses injustice and responds to it in any situation with actionable awareness.

We believe that when an athlete feels safe and comfortable to be their best self, they will perform better and their team will be more successful. No prior knowledge of the LGBTQIA community is necessary to become a representative. We will equip you with the confidence to by an ally of the community, create a safer environment in your team space, and be a leader of change on campus and beyond.

Now to the nitty-gritty:  To be the representative, you must complete allyship training (we will provide this), attend at least 1 meeting per quarter (your schedule permitting) and 2 events per year. Upon completion of your allyship training, you will receive a free UC Davis Athlete Ally t-shirt.
