Who We Are
We are the Maine chapter of the national organization A.
Philip Randolph Institute (APRI). Everyone who shares our values and goals is
welcome at APRI-ME meetings and events. Regular meetings are at 6:30pm on the
third Wednesday of most months on Zoom.
What We Do
The Maine Chapter of APRI focuses on issues affecting or of
interest to people of color in Maine, our unions and communities. Membership is
open to anyone who supports our goals, including both individuals and
organizations who wish to affiliate.

There are four levels of membership
Active members are members of a local union and the community who subscribe to the policies, principles, and by-laws of this organization, regularly attend meetings, participate in chapter activities, and pay dues of $10 annually.
Associate members are members of a local union or the community who subscribe to the
policies, principles, and by-laws of this organization and pay dues of $10, but who
are unable to attend monthly meetings. Associate members shall not have voting
privileges.
Organizational members are organizations that subscribe to the policies,
principles, and by-laws of this organization and wish to join with the A, Philip
Randolph Institute. Includes payment of an annual $100 organizational fee. Labor
organizations paying organizational dues are entitled to five (5) delegates, one of
whom shall sit on the executive board.
Sponsoring members are individuals who subscribe to the policies, principles and by- laws of this organization and wish to partner with the A. Philip Randolph Institute.
Sponsoring members pay an annual sponsoring fee of at least $50.
