Gaelic Football is the National Sport of Ireland. It is a fast paced sport that uses the fundamentals of soccer, basketball, and rugby. However, there is no tackling like there is in rugby and American football. It is super easy to learn and we would love to teach you! If you are looking for a sport or activity to become involved in, Gaelic Football is the perfect choice! If you have never heard of Gaelic Football before, that's okay! The Rules of Gaelic Football
Our club is based out of the Irish American Community Center in East Haven, CT. We have a full Gaelic Football field as well as a clubhouse for events and after practice hangouts! Practices are usually on Wednesday evenings and sometimes on Sundays. Games are held on the weekends. The main season for the adult team is late spring through the fall. We also have winter workouts! We play against teams from Hartford and Fairfield, Connecticut as well teams from New York, New Jersey, and Massachusetts.
There is no need for any experience with the sport. It is super easy to learn and an absolute blast to play. Filling out this form does not mean you have to commit to playing! We are just hoping to grow the sport and find new families who have any interest at all. And who knows, maybe join our amazing club and culture!
We plan on having FREE clinics in the winter and spring to show how the sport works, as well as, regular Thursday and Sunday practices. Please fill out the form so you can stay updated!
