In response to potential health concerns with student-athletes who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) has developed recommended guidelines to ensure children are ready to return to education-based athletics.  Please closely read the below document entitled, “CIF Recommended Evaluation & Cardiac Testing for COVID-19 (+) Athletes Returning to Education-Based Athletics.”  As a reminder, your COVID-positive student-athlete must complete a minimum of five days in isolation and may test on day five. They may return to school and participate in athletics on day six IF they test negative AND their symptoms have improved. Please complete this form and check in with your Athletic Trainer, Courtney Jacobs. This form lets us know you have read the CIF recommended protocols for your athlete to return to play. By your completing this attestation, you acknowledge that the impact of Covid 19 on your student athlete is not fully known, but may involve some continuing health risk. You agree to hold the Huntington Beach Union High School District  and its schools harmless from liability relating to your student athlete's continued participation in athletics and related events.  Any documentation you have can be returned to the Health Office or Athletic Trainer.
