Preference may or may not be honored, depending on various factors. Tryouts/auditions may also be held for some of the dance teams' selection. The final group assignment based on Spinning Canvas' discretion. *Bollywood style is only for the Non-competition category and participation in is determined by the event organizers as it is by invitation only.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
- Attendance for every class is mandatory
- Classes will be twice a week August 30th to November 4th, 2023.
- Since this is only a 10-week engagement, absence from class is not permitted. Even one participant's absence can affect the whole group so please be mindful of that.
Participants are not permitted to miss any classes during the 10 weeks -  August 30th to November 4th. Do you anticipate any absences during these dates? If so, when?  (Labor Day weekend will be off if most dancers are absent)
Teams will have a weekend class between Friday - Sunday. What days is the participant available? (Check all that apply)

Curriculum Includes:
- Strength & conditioning with stretching, warm ups and cool down
- Cultural Education and explaining the importance of each dance style
- Authentic and traditional choreography for each dance style
- Detailed instruction of choreography and formations
- Respectful, talented, fun instructors create a nurturing, educational yet low pressure environment to always ensure our students leave class fulfilled, enriched with qualifiable improvement.
- Fostering team spirit and helping the dancers embrace the dance and rich Indian culture. We take pride that most of our students develop true friendships and families have come together to form a strong dance and cultural community.
- We have a very strong track record of most of our teams winning in competitions. However, if you're only goal is to place in the competition, we may not be the right fit for you. We strongly believe in fostering a winner's attitude with positive reinforcement and healthy competitiveness without added pressure. Our main goal for our dance teams is to leave the competition a stronger dancer, more developed than when they first stepped into class; a more compassionate human, with a sense of belongingness to the culture, dance, and team, happy memories to cherish for years to come.

Registration:
INDIAFEST FOLK DANCE COMPETITION (includes Garba, Raas, all other Indian folk dances): $399
INDIAFEST BHANGRA DANCE COMPETITION: $449
INDIAFEST BOLLYWOOD - NON COMPETITION GROUPS - TBD (Event organizers have not yet confirmed our participation in Bollywood, meaning a Bollywood team is not guaranteed at this time)
COSTUMES: $50 deposit payment of the costumes is due with the fees. The remaining costume amount will be determined once costumes have been shipped.

* A $100 non-refundable fee must be paid to reserve a spot in the group.
* The remaining fee and costume deposit ($349 or $399) must be paid on the first day of class.
* Fees does not include the costume for the performance.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS (VERY IMPORTANT!)
Participation in our Indiafest teams is not guaranteed by filling out this form. First preference is given to our current students before allotting spots to new students. We also cannot guarantee the location you've chosen but we try out best to work it out. Please allow a few days to receive information on the next steps.

Siblings must have a separate registration form!

I understand and accept that I am solely responsible for as self/guardian for the aforementioned student and any or all injuries/ill-health that may be incurred during the scheduled period of time in which the student is enrolled. Spinning Canvas, LLC and agents associated with the company, including but not limited to, the dance studio and related parties, the choreographer and related parties, and instructors may not be held legally liable for an injury/sickness that may occur to the student during the time period that the student is partaking in the above said activity.

Photos and videos may be taken during classes or any performances and will be solely used for promotional and marketing purposes of Spinning Canvas, LLC.

If for any reason, the Tampa India festival competition is canceled by the organizers, no deposit, fees or costume fees will be refunded unless the costumes are rented. Please know that all costumes are custom made to the dancer's measurements.
