Star of Hope is a nonprofit dedicated to helping the homeless population in Houston, by meeting their basic needs and assisting them with services and donations. We are assisting them by assembling "We Care" packages, which contain hygiene items that meet immediate, daily needs while also offering the recipient shelter and hope as provided by Star of Hope.
We'll be assembling hygiene kits, which will be donated to folks experiencing homelessness on the streets by Star of Hope. These kits contain basic items, such as soap, toothbrushes and shampoo, that we may take for granted, but can change the day to day life and offer hope to folks facing homelessness. We will also be learning about homelessness in the wintertime and reflecting on how we can make minor differences in our community to combat homelessness.
Volunteers will meet in the in the Student Center South- Bayou City Room, from 3PM to 5PM.
You'll receive a reminder email prior to the event containing more information, and if you have any questions, please contact Taylor Laredo at
