We are grateful to the support of
Nelson Marina, who will endeavour to make space available to berth/raft-up support boats so that they can stay on the water. However, we need to know how many are coming! So, please complete the details below. We'll then be able to communicate the location of spaces and other details once confirmed.
NOTE: THERE IS NO LAUNCHING OF SUPPORT BOATS POSSIBLE AT NELSON YACHT CLUB.
All support boats will need to Check Out (and back in) with the NYC Control Room "Nelson Yacht Club", via VHF on Channel 17.
All support boats must have a functioning KILLCORD, and this must be secured to the driver at all times that the motor is running, either around the leg above the knee, or to a lifejacket / buoyancy vest strap.
All support boats are required to make themselves available to assist the Race Committee if required.

Note the Navigation Safety Bylaw requirements around the total exclusion zone around shipping movements, and for the wearing of personal flotation devices. Nelson is a busy wee port. We have a good relationship with the Harbourmaster, and we'd like to keep it that way!
