Welcome to the application process for the Camp Advisory & Mentorship Program (CAMP). CAMP is part of the Burning Man Project’s Camp Support team (formerly Camp Development & Support) and brings together camp organizers with expert peer advisors and mentors to proactively address opportunities and issues related to Burning Man camps. This program connects experienced peer advisors with camps wanting general help, camps in limited standing, and camps not in good standing.
Advisors will be matched to a specific camp based on their skills and knowledge and the needs of the camp’s leadership. There will, of course, be large variances in the level of advisement that camp might need, ranging from a few weeks of basic assistance to months-long involvement with camp leadership. Hopefully, advisors will be able to speak with their assigned camp’s leadership weekly or every other week as they prepare for the event, and meet with their assigned camp’s leadership at least once in person during the Burning Man event.
This application will help you understand what CAMP expects and needs from you, and will help CAMP match you with a camp requesting assistance. We will review this information and get back to you soon regarding your possible involvement. If you become an Advisor in the program, you will receive training and ongoing support.
