WHO: Kids ages 7 years and up, no prior music experience needed
WHAT: This Summit Community Orchestra-sponsored camp, led by Don Hilsberg (veteran music educator from Aurora and Denver Public Schools), Shane Werts (music educator in Eagle and Summit Public Schools; Adjunct Oboe instructor at CSU; Doctoral candidate at Indiana University), and Mallorie Werts (music educator in Eagle and Summit Public Schools) lays the foundation for the future enjoyment of music .
Students will have the opportunity to play flute, clarinet, bells, snare drum, trumpet, violin and harp as well as learn a basic history, fingerings, playing posture, etc. for these instruments.
Basic Supplies will be provided. Students bring own brown bag lunch, water bottle, and snacks each day. A recital will be performed by participants on Thursday at approximately 3pm.
WHY: Enable students to make educated decisions for future music study and prevent unnecessary investments by parents.

COST: $250 per student

Payment needs to be made no later than Monday Jul 17 2023 to secure your child's/children's slot. You will receive instructions and waiver paperwork once payment is made and your slot is secured.
