With a commitment to shape more equitable and thriving communities, Missouri funders are increasingly establishing or expanding their work in systems change. These efforts may include advocacy work such as publishing research, polling, media engagement, community organizing, policymaker education, and various forms of lobbying activity.
The Investing in Change workshop is open to all funders investing in Missouri. An expert trainer from Bolder Advocacy will explain the law governing philanthropic investment and activity in a range of advocacy activities, including lobbying. Join for a refresher or to learn about these guidelines for the first time!
The workshop will be held August 25, 9:00AM-Noon, and participating in-person is strongly encouraged. Yes, we will provide coffee and delightful snacks. However, the most important reason to be there in-person is to (re)connect with peer philanthropic leaders interested in this work. There will be two in-person locations -- Springfield and St. Louis. For those unable to travel to St. Louis or Springfield, a virtual-only option will be available.
Please register for the Springfield workshop here: SWMO Funder Network Convening | Philanthropy Missouri. To register for the St. Louis or virtual workshop, please fill out this form.
Philanthropy Missouri appreciates Trio Foundation and Wells Fargo for supporting our equity-focused work. Special thanks to Community Foundation of the Ozarks and Deaconess Foundation for donating use of their facilities so we can gather in-person.
