C2C Grant Application Initiation

Please note that this is part 1 of a 2-step process for applying for the C2C grant. This form will alert your C2C Coach that you believe you meet the eligibility requirements for the grant and would like the Coach to initiate an application on your behalf. When the Coach has initiated your grant application, you will receive an email indicating that it is time for you to complete step 2. You have not applied until you have completed both steps.

This form must be submitted to your UM C2C coach EVERY semester in order to be considered for grant renewal. Deadlines for applications are:

Fall - October 31st
Spring - March 31st

Eligibility Checklist--Must complete before submitting

All criteria below must be met in order to be eligible for the C2C grant.

C2C program participant

Mississippi resident (12 consecutive months) & US citizen

Enrolled in classes for semester for which grant is requested

Not a degreed student (bachelor or associate) unless meet one of exceptions (see C2C grant page at https://msc2c.org/c2c-grant/details/ under C2C Eligibility subheading)

Age of at least 21 and not greater than 59

Household income meets the requirement based on household size (see C2C grant website https://msc2c.org/c2c-grant/details/)

Financial responsibility for a dependent child

C2C FERPA consent form completed (see C2C grant page at https://msc2c.org/c2c-grant/details/ under C2C Eligibility subheading)

Consecutive enrollment (if renewing applicant)--a C2C participant must remain enrolled consecutively from semester to semester (excluding summer courses)
