What is your volunteer preference? Click your Top 3 choices. Note: it is possible that some backstage assistants will be able to watch from the wings, but it is not guaranteed. Front house volunteers who wish to watch the show will need to purchase a ticket to watch the show. All volunteers must check in with the volunteer coordinator 1 hour prior to showtime and be in their volunteer position 30 minutes prior to showtime. Backstage volunteers and Dressing Room monitors must be able to volunteer for the DURATION of the performance and may not leave their volunteer post early. *

Dressing Room Assistant: PRIMARY ROLE: Assist all dancers with costume & hairpiece changes to ensure that they are dressed and ready for their stage performance. Assist with any other needs or emergencies that may arise. All volunteers are expected to volunteer in this position for the duration of the performance. You may NOT leave once your child is finished with their own dances.

Volunteer Greeter / Liaison: PRIMARY ROLE: Direct dancers to the appropriate dressing rooms when they arrive, assist in getting dressing rooms prepared for dancers to arrive, act as liaison between volunteers and volunteer coordinator, assist with any needs of the volunteer coordinator

Usher: PRIMARY ROLE: Assist audience members in finding their seats, address any ticket issues with Ryan Owen, and monitor the auditorium for flash photography and videoing and any other issues.

Ticket Scanner: PRIMARY ROLE: Using an MDM iPad or your own phone, scan each ticket prior to allowing guests to enter the auditorium. Ticket scanning will take place outside of the 1st set of auditorium doors in order to get a good signal. If you would like to use your own phone, you can download the free “QR READER” app.

Merchandise Table: PRIMARY ROLE: Assist in sales of MDM Merchandise. The merchandising coordinator, will be be available to train volunteers on how to process payments, etc.

Flowers: PRIMARY ROLE: Distribute and take payments for flower pre-orders as well as on-site flower sales. Please note that all flower payments must be kept separate from any ticket or merchandise sales.

Quick Change Station: PRIMARY ROLE: Assist dancers with less than 3 numbers to change between dances with a “quick costume change”.

Backstage Runner: PRIMARY ROLE: “Run” between the stage and the dressing rooms to gather the dancers for stage line up. Assist with any other backstage “issues”.

Clean Up Crew: PRIMARY ROLE: Assist in cleaning dressing room and theatre after each show. On the final night, assist in loading the trailer with studio supplies.
