Before we can pursue solutions to improve State government, we first need to understand what issues and opportunities exist. To that end, we’d greatly appreciate your perspective on an important question: How can the State of California be more effective and efficient in its mission to serve the public interest?

What is NxtGov?
NxtGov is a non-partisan, service-oriented non-profit that cultivates a community of change agents in the Sacramento region working to improve the effectiveness of the public sector while supporting each other’s personal and professional growth. In 2022 we will be focusing more of our efforts on building coalitions of volunteers to identify and pursue opportunities to help the State of California run more effectively and efficiently. The feedback we receive in this form and during these listening sessions will help us prioritize which opportunities we pursue next year.
What We Are and Are Not Looking For
As an non-partisan interagency network of passionate public servants, NxtGov has great potential to identify opportunities and solutions to policy problems within the State of California. However, there are some problems that would be inappropriate for us to try to address, and others that we may not be able to address despite their merit. Given this, please keep the following in mind when using this form to provide us with feedback.

Generally, we are looking for: Issues that lend themselves to policy-oriented solutions, instances or systemic examples of government inefficiency or inefficacy, opportunities to increase and enhance collaboration across the public sector, opportunities to promote the well-being of public sector employees, cultural or organizational roadblocks to positive change, opportunities to apply existing solutions to state government problems, etc..

Generally, we are NOT looking for: Complaints about specific people, issues that involve confidential or privileged information, issues of a political nature, etc.
