2019-2020 Placement Test
Students seeking to transfer to St. James Parish Public Schools in grades 5 or 9 from any in-state nonpublic school, approved home study program, or out-of-state school, are required to take the English language arts and mathematics portions of the state placement test.  This test is a computer-based test designed to measure students' knowledge and skills in ELA and math.  

The Placement Test will be administered July 16th and July 17th in the St. James Parish Public Relations Building located in the parking lot behind the school board office.  The test for all students will begin at 8:30.  Students are required to attend both days.  The ELA test will be administered July 16th and is about 4 hours long.  The math test will be administered July 17th and is about 3 hours and 45 minutes long.  Test results are typically available within 7 days of completing all sections of the test.
