Thank you for your interest in becoming a Job Shadow Host with the University of Alberta Career Centre's
Job Shadow Program. This form will take about 5 minutes to complete.
The Job Shadow Program matches students, alums, and postdoctoral scholars with a professional to learn about the day-to-day realities of a career, gain valuable career advice, and explore career options. Job shadows take place in-person and can be offered for one or multiple days within the program's date parameters. Volunteering to be part of this program can benefit you by:
- Securing the future of your talent pipeline and industry growth
- Strengthening your organization's brand awareness to new, emerging, and established professionals
- Gaining satisfaction in helping new, emerging, and established professionals learn about a job and establish new connections
- Practicing leadership and interpersonal skills through guiding, advising, communication, and active listening
- Gaining fresh perspectives on work-related practices
- Experiencing career rejuvenation, and more!

The purpose of this form is to collect contact information for those interested in being a Job Shadow Host who have not yet participated in the program. When registration opens for the upcoming rounds, you will be emailed with an invitation to participate. Please note that this program is currently only open for Hosts in Edmonton, Camrose, and their surrounding communities.
Fall and Winter round information:
FALL ROUNDS
- Host registration opens: mid-July
- Host registration closes: mid-September
- Program dates: Fall reading week in November (week of Remembrance Day)
WINTER ROUNDS
- Host registration opens: mid-October
- Host registration closes: early-January
- Program dates: Winter reading week in February (week of Family Day)
