The Short Grass Arts Council is happy to invite South Dakota adult artists to participate in its Annual Gallery Art Show April 22nd, 23rd, and 24th at the banquet room of the St. Charles Hotel, 207 E. Capital Ave., in Pierre, South Dakota. A reception Friday night will welcome artists and viewers from 5pm to 7pm to kick off the weekend of art which continues Saturday from 10am to 4pm an Sunday from 12pm to 3pm. Public attendance is free - donations are happily accepted.

Approved artists may submit up to five pieces of original art in one or more of the following  categories:
- drawing
- acrylics
- oils
- printmaking
- photography
- fiber
- watercolor
- pastel
- mixed media
- textile
- pottery
- sculpture
- stained glass
- jewelry
- beading
- woodworking

Please designate category if not listed above. Work must be ready to display: two-dimensional, flat artwork must be matted and/or framed and be ready to hang. Please do not use  sawtooth hangers, they do not work with our displays. Though every effort is made to protect all artwork throughout the weekend, Short Grass Arts Council cannot be held liable for any lost or damaged art.  The Gallery Art Show entry fee for artists is $20 total for up to five pieces.  Artists are responsible for delivery of their artwork to the St. Charles Banquet Room between 1pm and 7pm on  Wednesday, April 20th. Please note: because of the time it  takes to creatively display each piece of art, if you cannot deliver your art Wednesday, we ask that you schedule a time to bring the art Thursday and assist us in displaying it. All artwork must be picked up immediately after the show on Sunday, April 24th.
