Please read the following with your student and fill out the form below.

Introduction:
Edgenuity is a computer-based, online learning system that provides students with another medium for achieving academic credit.  Edgenuity allows students to work at their own pace in completing necessary academic courses without sacrificing the rigor of a traditional enclosed classroom.

***Edgenuity is not NCAA approved

Objectives:
1. Students will individually work through their assigned course using the Edgenuity program.
2. Students will use their own Note-taking system proficiently to aid learning of the course content.
3. Students will demonstrate mastery of the concepts of their assigned classes by completing online quizzes, tests and taking notes.  

Student Expectations:  
1. Students will complete their Edgenuity class on an individual basis working at their own pace.
2. Students will complete at least 1 page of eNotes per section that will be turned into the instructor when the final exam is taken.
3. To obtain mastery, students must score an overall grade of 60% on the entire class.
4. Students may use 3 attempts on each assessment (program will take highest grade).  
5. Students must take notes - at least 1 page of notes per section! If students do not take notes they will receive a failing grade.
6. Students will use RCS e-mail as a medium of communication with the instructor. Please do not use Edgenuity e-mail.

Notes:
Students are required to take 1 page of notes per section on the course material. The notes will be graded upon completeness, which means that if students take complete notes following the lessons, they will receive full credit.  Notes will be taken on-line in Edgenuity. If notes are lost or stolen, students must replace them.

Students: If you do not take notes you will not earn credit for the class!

Grading Policy:  
The final letter grade for each course completed in Edgenuity is weighted on the following elements of the class. Below is an example:
 
Notes                                 30%
Assignments                     20%
Quizzes                              25%
Tests                                  25%


Course Outline:
The amount of material covered through the Edgenuity courses is based on the individual student’s academic pace.  Each course in Edgenuity is designed to be the equivalent of approximately 60 hours of instruction.  If the course cannot be completed in the time allotted it, the student will not earn credit. There will be no extensions after the start of the session.

Teacher Communication:
Allow 24hr turnaround time for all email communications.  It is our goal as educators to respond to all emails as quickly as possible to help facilitate student success.

Checklist - Please remember to do the following:
1. Your Edgenuity password is: e2020
2. Work on your course every day and follow the progress bar for guidance.
3. Your progress bar must read 100% complete by the 3:00 PM deadline on the last day of your session.

Course Completion Date - all coursework must be completed by 3:00 PM on the last day of the session.
Session 1 (6/15 - 6/30):  Coursework completed by 3:00 PM June 30
Session 2  (7/7 - 7/21):  Coursework completed by 3:00 PM July 21
Session 3 (7/28 - 8/11):  Coursework completed by 3:00 PM August 11
