If you would like to be part of the committee responsible for the next edition of exec(ut), you can let us know through this form. The new committee will start in the summer of 2022, with the new conference taking place sometime between February and May of 2023.

We estimate that as an organizing member the workload is about 6 hours a week, although the distribution varies greatly throughout the year and also per role. The frequency of meetings also varies; either weekly or bi-weekly. Organizing a conference is a lot of work, but also very rewarding and great fun!

Roles

Below each role is briefly described to give you an idea of the kind of tasks. Check the box next to a role to indicate that you are interested in filling the role.

Do note that there are many more tasks that need to be done when organizing a conference, but hopefully this provides a general idea of the different roles.

Chair

The chair is responsible for the overall functioning of the committee. They lead the meetings and motivate the other committee members to give it their utmost. Additionally, the chair is (in part) responsible for communication between the committee and the board. (the workload of this role varies greatly)

Secretary

The secretary will be managing the site, tickets and organisational aspects in committee.

Logistics and location

The commissioner of location and logistics is the person responsible for finding a great location to host exec(ut). They keep in touch with the location and arrange catering, decorations, and audio-visuals.

Speakers

The commissioner of speakers makes sure we have an interesting and varied line-up of speakers for the day. They guide speakers in providing the best talks possible, and ensure they have a great time being part of exec(ut).

Promotion

The commissioner of promotion makes sure people actually purchase tickets to the event. They create posters, social media posts, banners, and goodies.

Acquisition

The commissioner of acquisition is responsible for contact with (possible) partners. They approach companies and persuade them to sponsor the conference. Of course they also keep in touch with the partners and make sure they have everything they need. (the workload of this role varies greatly)

Treasurer

The treasurer of the committee makes sure we don't go bankrupt. They allocate money and keep track of income and expenses.
