This form is being used to place you in the correct world language class and explain to you some options you have for our "multi" (elective or encore) classes while at Northview, an IB World School. We realize you have previously turned in your class preferences. Since the mailing of those forms, some new choices have become available, which is why we are asking everyone to submit this form, EVEN IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY TURNED IN YOUR CLASS PREFERENCE FORM.

Every student must have one semester of physical education, a year of fine art (drama/ visual art or, band, or orchestral), and one semester of design (stem or computer science). Design classes will be RANDOMLY ASSIGNED this year.

For continuity of language study, once a student is enrolled in their language course, he/she will remain in that language course during all 3 years of the MYP at Northview. Physical Education OPT OUT: You MAY have the option of opting out of PE, only if you can meet the requirements of 225 minutes per week outside of school hours in physical activity courses taught by certified instructors, in which documentation must be submitted, such as dance, karate, gymnastics, etc. Paperwork must be completed for prior approval, but please indicate if you would like to do this. If you opt out of PE, your semester multi classes will be drama, visual arts, and design STEM and design computer science. *

I want to be placed in the Northview PE classes as normal.

I am interested in opting out of Northview PE classes due to the fact that I am completing minimally 225 minutes of physical activity in organized instruction and I will submit the paperwork at a later date.
