Join us for the 8-hour Community Adult Mental Health First Aid Training Tuesday, June 6, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST!

Community Action Agency in partnership with The Anne Arundel County Department of Health's (AACDOH) Office of Health Equity and Racial Justice (HERJ) in collaboration with "Life of Joy Foundation, Inc." presents 8-hour Community Adult Mental Health First Aid Training sessions on Tuesday, June 6,2023 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST!   

Community Adult Mental Health First Aid is a skills-based training course that teaches participants about mental health and substance-use issues. The CHA Program supports Anne Arundel County residents disproportionately impacted by COVID-19 and mental health.

I understand the following:

Participants must complete approximately 8 hours of training to be certified including both the pre and post test.

Each participant will present and teach an assigned portion of the 8-hour course to the group. 

Each participant will provide a peer review for assigned group members. 

National Trainers will conduct an individual evaluation of and provide feedback to each participant. 

There is limited seating 
(First come, first serve basis: If one training date fills up, remaining participants will automatically be assigned to the alternative training date.)
