Volunteer Age Guidelines
Volunteers must be at least 8 years old to participate. Volunteers under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or adult caretaker in order to volunteer in the program. A separate application is needed for both the student volunteer and the parent/ adult caretaker that will accompany them. Teens, ages 14 - 17, can be dropped off at the Ranch for volunteer hours and will be supervised by Ranch staff.

Please indicate the times you are available to volunteer. Barn volunteer hours are typically 9 am-12 pm, Saturdays and Mondays. From mid-November through mid-March, hours are also Wednesdays 9 am -12 pm. Other times for volunteer hours may coordinated based on the type of work that is being done.

Living Streams Ranch's Mission
Living Streams Ranch seeks to help women and children experiencing grief, trauma, and deep emotional pain find hope and healing by sharing the love of Christ with them. Our program provides private sessions led by Christian mentors that include horse-related activities, study and reflection on God's Word, the Bible, and healing prayer. Ranchers are provided a space to share their stories in a safe and confidential environment that promotes physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

For safety purposes, are there any medical, physical, or mental/emotional health concerns that you have that would impact your volunteer efforts at LSR?  Please also inform of us of any allergies with anaphylactic reactions, seizure disorders, etc.   *
Have you ever been accused of intentionally injuring an animal, accused of harming a child, arrested, placed on probation, or incarcerated? *
If yes was answered to the previous question, please explain. 
It is not safe for individuals to be impaired by a substance while working with our animals or on our property. If LSR staff perceive that your presenting condition is problematic, they will speak with you about their concern and determine the best way to help you remain safe on the property and to return to your home. Use of alcohol, illegal drugs, marijuana/ THC, smoking, and/or vaping are prohibited anywhere on our property.

Additionally, firearms are not permitted to be carried on the property and must be securely stored in a locked vehicle.

Additional Forms Needed

All volunteers are required to complete a Waiver of Liability and Verification of Medical Insurance Form. 

Volunteers 18 years of age or older are also required to complete these forms and training, and then submit their results to the ranch:

1.) a local police record check,

2.) a child abuse clearance,

3.) an FBI fingerprint clearance (only if they have lived in PA for less than 10 years), and

4.) a mandated reporter training will be required. 

The Ranch will provide you with the needed information for obtaining this upon receipt of the application.
