South Side Derby Dolls (S2D2) would like to invite interested and motivated individuals to apply to become part of coaching team for our league. We are looking for coaches to help train the league and team over the year including accompanying the team to bouts. We have a super dedicated Committee to assist and support the successful applicants as required.

Coaches will be required to:
- Work with the S2D2 Committee on key decisions
- Develop a 12-month training plan with strong goals that align with the league’s vision for 2021 and beyond
- Work with the S2D2 Training Coordinator and a variety of guest trainers to lead or aid individual team training sessions
- Develop and communicate specific, effective individual and team strategies.
- Provide specific, constructive individual and team feedback to skaters and report to the Training Coordinator at the end of each term.

- Calm, strategic and quick responses during high-intensity game play.
- Ability to nurture and develop skaters and groups
- Strong organisational skills
- Low drama personality and able to manage different personalities effectively
- Respectful of all S2D2 members and our ethos
- A willingness to collaborate and defer to others when required
- High level of derby knowledge pertaining to gameplay, rules, and strategy
- Previous experience as skater, trainer or coach desirable but not required
- Strong commitment to the development of the Australian derby community

Please note that S2D2 cannot currently provide financial travel assistance for bouts and external scrimmages. Fundraising for team participation in interleague bouts and tournaments may lead to a portion of travel / accommodation costs being subsidised.
