"Your gaming session is not a story — it is a happening. It is something about which stories can be told, but in the genesis of the moment it is not a tale being told. It is a fact that is transpiring." - Alexandrian
That sums up my GMing philosophy well. My job is to build the world's foundation and fill it with interesting things for you to engage (or just completely ignore, CHAD). You, the players, are free agents within that world. By working together with your party and the GM, you will craft the story together through the choices you make.
It's important for me to know the kind of game you want, and for you to know the kind of game I like to run. Most games have elements of all of these, so don't feel like you're pigeonholing yourself; the goal is to make sure this game is a good fit for everyone.
