PROJECT PRIMA VOLTA SENIOR AUDITION REGISTRATION NOW OPEN FOR 2022-2023

Project Prima Volta (PPV) is a nationally recognized weekly singing programme which encourages young people to develop their voices, creativity, self-confidence and skills-for-life through performance.

This year’s PPV Senior group will participate in a variety of community concerts and staged productions including Janáček’s opera The Cunning Little Vixen and Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 presented in collaboration with the Hawke’s Bay Arts Festival. Students will also perform in Festival Opera’s annual opera season set to take place over Art Deco Weekend 2023.

Weekly rehearsals run 4.30-6.30pm Thursdays in Hastings. Students registered as Year 10-13 at any school in Hawke’s Bay, including homeschoolers, are eligible to apply. We try to support anyone who wants to commit to PPV, by providing transport where needed as well as food at rehearsals.

PPV Junior is now also offered to intermediate age singers, following the successful senior model.  For information about our programmes for students registered Years 6-9, email us at auditions@findingvoices.org
