Volunteers are at the heart of PAD. We are attempting to compile a list of our Veterans that are willing to help give back to PAD in different ways. This form is not a commitment for a specific event. It is a database that we are putting together so that if we have a speaking engagement/or event in your area, we know who to reach out to first for help.

SPEAKING OPPORTUNITIES

We have many events and speaking requests throughout the year, and would love to have help at these events. Are you a Veteran with a PAD dog and are willing to tell your story? Are you a Veteran that brought your own dog into the PAD program? We would love to have you come speak at some of the events where they have requested that we tell them the impact that PAD has had on your life.

MENTORING AND RIC

There are also other volunteer opportunities. During our quarterly classes, we need help from some of our teams to come to the class and mentor the new arrivals. We also need to have a RIC (Resident In Charge) during each time when we have Veterans as guest in our residence hall. Have you been a PAD Veteran for at least 12 months? Are you interested in coming to help other Veterans find their way through the class and program?

EVENT HELP

During events, we always need help to man the registration and gaming tables, as well as help setting up and tearing down. If you are coming to one of PAD's fundraisers or events, would you be willing to come a little early or stay a little late to help with set up? Would you be interested and hanging out at one of our games of chance and assisting us there?

Please note: Mentors must wait until one year from their own graduation in order to mentor incoming Veterans.

Mentors do not need to stay or come every day if they do not want to, as we can divide the week up among other volunteer Mentors.
