Florida Community Innovation (FCI) conducts groundbreaking work connecting Florida’s citizens with trusted information and resources to navigate challenging times. We empower young innovators to build scalable social services technology for their communities. We are a network of young professional volunteers and envision a Florida where everyone has equal access to trusted information, critical services, and rewarding careers.
Much of FCI's work is driven by our intern program at the University of Florida, where a cohort of 25-30 students with diverse interests in data science, design, UX, media, public service, civic engagement, engineering, and product development eagerly awaits insights from professionals like you.
Guest Speakers have the opportunity to talk with the intern cohort for up to an hour about their personal and professional journey, their current profession, and answer the interns' questions during the Q&A portion of the talk.
Beyond this, the interns may choose to explore potential mentorship opportunities with the Guest Speakers or hold coffee chats to establish valuable connections in their field of interest. These sessions serve as a valuable platform for networking and gaining insights into various career paths, encouraging interns to make informed decisions about their own professional aspirations.
