This form is for all students who will be attending Westlake Girls High School in
2023 who wish to learn/continue to learn an instrument or voice.
This expression of interest is NOT the registration form. After completion of this form, your caregiver will receive an email with information and conditions for Itinerant Music Lessons and a link to complete a registration and contract for
2023. We have a limited number of hours for our Itinerant lessons through the government scheme.
Those students in option Music (Years 10-13) have first priority as they require these for their course requirements. Priority is then given to those students who have already learned for 6 months or more. Itinerant lessons do not typically provide an option for individual lessons due to high demand. Those students we cannot accommodate in Itinerant lessons will have the option of participating in the Private lessons.
• Private Music lessons – these are small group or individual lessons offered by private teachers (all who of which also teach our Itinerant lessons). Guitar, music theory and piano are taught privately, and fees are invoiced and payable directly to individual tutors, although lessons are held at WGHS.
Senior students taking MusC or MusM courses may be eligible for piano and guitar lessons under the itinerant scheme but will still be subject to itinerant fees.
Students must commit to lessons for the year so this is a decision you need to make carefully.
