2022 Halloween Scarecrow Competition
Welcome to St. Johnsbury's third annual Halloween Scarecrow Competition! A detailed email will be sent after you sign up indicating the location for your scarecrow, and instructions for set-up. All are welcome! The more the merrier!

Scarecrow installation will take place the weekend of Saturday, October 15 & Sunday, October 16. Judges will roam the streets the week of October 17, and winners will be announced on Halloween, Monday October 31. 

Please remember that displays must be removed as soon as possible after Halloween. Send questions to director@discoverstjohnsbury.com or call the Welcome Center, 802-748-8575.

Please indicate the age group for your scarecrow entry. (Designs by those 12 and under are displayed in front of the Welcome Center, while ages 13 and older will be displayed on light poles along the streets downtown.)  *

I agree that the scarecrow will be child-viewing friendly and will not have political themes or be considered too scary. *

Please indicate if there is a particular light pole you prefer for your display on Railroad Street, Eastern Avenue, or Main Street. (Efforts will be made to grant requests, but we cannot guarantee placement.)
