Lala’s Rescue Volunteer Application
Thank you for considering spending your time helping animals in need! There are so many ways you can help, here are a few teams we have already assembled. But if you have ideas or certain skills you’d like to use to assist us, let us know! We are open to expanding what we do.

Cleaning + Cuddles Crew Requirement
Be at least 18 years old or have a parent/guardian present with you
Be able to stand, kneel, squat, and use a ladder
Be able to lift at least 40 lbs.
Be prepared to get dirty.
Be capable of handling hay/grass.
Be able to commit to at least a 2 hour shift, preferably 2hrs/week for minimum of 6 weeks.
Foster Fam Requirements
Be at least 21 years of age
Live within Pierce or King County (*can work with those in surrounding areas on a case-by-case basis)
Be able to communicate with our Foster Coordinator on a weekly basis through text messages, email, and provide photo updates
All animals within your home must be up-to-date on vaccines and be sterilized as species appropriate
Be available for home visits as necessary
Be flexible in coordinating adoption meet ups and events
We can provide all necessary items needed for our foster animal (such as cage, bedding, food) but often times our foster homes are able to provide all care necessary for the foster animal while they are in their home. This helps us be able to use what we have for the animals in our main home.
Taxi Team Requirements
Be at least 18 years old with valid drivers license
Valid auto insurance
Access to a reliable vehicle
Be able to travel to Pierce/King county (where the rescue is based)
Be flexible in order to meet the needs of the animals
Possibly have animal travel carriers available for use
