Please join us for the Resnick Center's Meat Consumption at a Crossroads event, discussing the societal implications of a meat tax.

Boxed lunches will be available at 11:30 AM, and there will be a brief reception until the event starts at noon.


Speakers include:

Dr. Mike Rayner
Professor of Population Health, University of Oxford
Professor Rayner’s research interests are in public health promotion, including food labeling, food marketing, food taxes, and the relationship between a healthy diet and sustainable diet.

Michael T. Roberts
Executive Director of Resnick Center for Food Law and Policy
Michael T. Roberts is the founding Executive Director of the Resnick Center for Food Law and Policy at UCLA School of Law. He is well versed in a broad range of legal and policy issues from farm to fork in local, national, and global food supply systems. He has authored the first major treatise on food law, titled, Food Law in the United States, published by Cambridge University Press.

Margaret E. Sova McCabe
Dean, University of Arkansas School of Law
Dean McCabe joined the University of Arkansas School of Law as dean and professor of law July 1, 2018. Dean McCabe is well versed and published in food and agricultural law and recently was a panelist on the future of meat held at the annual food law academy conference in Atlanta.
