The 2024 Laurens Invitational will be held on the campus of Laurens District 55 High School. The date for the 2024 event will be September 21 and take place in KC Hanna Stadium.
Contest will be limited to the first 25 bands registered. Bands will be grouped into classes based on horn line size. At the director's request, you may move to a higher classification.
There will be classification awards as well as caption awards for each class and an overall Grand Champion. We also award the "David Mauldin Innovation Award" for the most innovative performance regardless of classification. Judging will be based on SCBDA criteria and sheets.
Depending on size of the contest there may be two separate divisions and we will split awards ceremonies accordingly.
Directors will be supplied with recorded comments as well as a video of their band's performances.
Registration will close August 15. Registration is free if registered by June 15. After June 15, the fee is $50.
Additional information such as horn line size and instructors names will be requested at a later time from all registrants.
