About the CPRS-NS Student Award

Thank you for your interest in applying for a CPRS Nova Scotia Student Award.

To be eligible, you must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary public relations or corporate communications or related (i.e. journalism, marketing with a specific interest in PR) program in Nova Scotia. You do not need to be a current member of CPRS Nova Scotia. All applications are reviewed by a judging panel of CPRS-NS members.

In 2025, two Student Awards are available:

Masters or Postgraduate Award
Undergraduate Award

Each award includes $250 cash, 4 hours of mentorship (one hour of mentorship each quarter) from our sponsor, Prospect Strategies Ltd., and public recognition as part of our Annual General Meeting.

You will need to submit a completed application form with the following included:

Resume in PDF format
Cover letter in PDF format

Application Fee

$0 for CPRS-NS members, $15 for non-members

Deadline

All information must be submitted in one email no later than 11:59 p.m. AST on February 24, 2025. Please send your resume and cover letter to cprsnovascotia@gmail.com and use the subject line “CPRS-NS Student Award Application.”

Award Recipient Profile

The winning applicants will have the opportunity to be profiled on the CPRS-NS website, CPRS-NS social media channels, and a locally distributed press release.

The successful applicants will be notified of the results by phone or email. The student award will be presented during the CPRS-NS Annual General Meeting in May.
