FemmeFest Committee Member Interest Form

Thank you for expressing your interest in joining a FemmeFest committee! We are excited to get to know more about you and connect with fellow artists in our community who are passionate about creating space for queer art and celebrating all things femme. 

These committee positions are on a volunteer-basis and are designed to support the sustainable growth of the festival, allow creativity to flourish, and create opportunities for our community of artists of the femme-tastic variety and beyond.

Committee Descriptions

The following descriptions detail the focuses and responsibilities of each committee. Please read the included committee descriptions and expectations below before providing your interest selections. All committees will be supported by WTFemme Productions leadership. 

Please also note that committee members are permitted to be involved with up to two committees maximum. This is an intentional ruling to help prevent burnout amongst committee members. 

Committee members are expected to meet on a semi-regular basis between now and September 2025, and are additionally expected to attend all-hands meetings on the following dates:

ALL HANDS MEETINGS at 3:00 pm virtually. 

- January 12th, 2025 
- March 23rd, 2025 
- July 13th, 2025 
- August 10th, 2025 
- September 7th, 2025 


Communications Committee
  • Support in making sure content is re-shared from social media channels

  • Help make content i.e. TikToks or Reels

  • Live social media coverage during the festival 

Booking and Talent Committee
  • Support in managing booking and talent communications.

    • Delivering contracts to performers 

    • Provide updates on festival related info 

    • Help make performers feel welcomed during the festival.

Development Committee
  • Support in recruiting and managing sponsorship relations to support funding the festival. This ranges from large business sponsorships to raffle donations and in-kind support. 

  • Committee would be responsible for coming up with raffle prizes for each night

  • Together with main leadership team, fundraisers will help make sure sponsorship amenities are met during the festival. 

Programming Committee 
  • Responsible for managing the overall programming of the festival
  • Programming works in tandem with the talent and competition committee on those specific elements 
  • Programs is also responsible for overseeing the educational aspect of the festival - workshops, panels, etc. 

Technical Committee 
  • Responsible for the technical direction of the festival. 
  • This includes lighting, sound, stage managers, stage kittens - folks who are interested in the behind-the-scenes tech needed to produce a successful festival. 

Hospitality Committee 
  • Support in creating a welcoming and supportive space for our cast and crew during the festival
  • Procure food and beverage donations
  • Support the technical team in green room management
  • Curate and assemble gift bags for cast and crew
