Recommendation letter from a provost, dean or department chair who is familiar with your academic achievements and your potential career path. The letter should be limited to one page. If recommender would prefer to submit it directly to AASCU, they may send it to

Typed, single-spaced, one-page statement of intent outlining the potential benefits of this program to your teaching and professional growth to your institution and community. The statement should also address: your interest in broadening your knowledge, and the ways in which your teaching will be affected by the Institute (or if you don’t teach, the impact you expect to have on undergraduate education at your institution; how you plan to use the experience to affect curriculum change; and how you expect to contribute to the Institute.
You are also required to provide a Nomination form, completed by a provost, dean or department chair. The form can be found at the link below. It can be sent directly to any of the abovementioned individuals to be completed on your behalf.
