Starting after Labor Day Weekend 2021 (9/6), we will have some in-person and some virtual opportunities to gather in smaller groups after most Sundays.

What is purpose of Small Groups? In Acts 2:42-47, the early church met at the temple but also gathered in smaller groups. They learned from the apostle's teaching (Gospel teaching from Scripture), shared food and life and resources, prayed, welcomed new people, and experienced God's Spirit working through it all.

What will a typical meeting include? Whether in-person or virtual, each meeting will pursue personal sharing, discussion and application of the Sunday sermon, ministering to one another, and identifying next steps in each of our lives as God leads us. Most meetings will last about 1.5-2 hours inclusive of prayer for one another.

Who will be leading? We have some experienced facilitators, but we also encourage every participant to be actively engaged in discussion and to pray and consider taking a turn facilitating! The small group leaders will be  meeting monthly for ongoing training and prayer.

When will the groups meet? See below for options. These are primarily based on the availability of our leaders.

What else do we need to know? We get as much out of our group meetings as we put in. If we are open, willing to share from the heart and personally, then we are letting God into those spaces to work. We want to foster humility, transparency, and accountability, but it all comes down to one attitude, being teachable before God. Disciples follow Jesus! And we hope our Small Group times will strengthen our relationships with Him!

One final note: on the last Sunday of each month, we will have a Community Dinner where everyone is invited to church (or a local park) to share a meal and have fellowship with the rest of our EACF faith family. Those weeks we will not have Small Groups as the leaders will be having our monthly meeting. Thanks!
