Special Education Parent Involvement Survey
Each year, the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE) measures the engagement of parents of students with disabilities in school systems across the state. LDOE uses this parent involvement survey to calculate the percent of parents with a child receiving special education services who report schools facilitated parent involvement as a means of improving services and results for children with disabilities. The data collected are reported annually in the State Performance Plan (SPP) / Annual Performance Report (APR), Indicator 8: Parent Involvement.

Louisiana uses the sampling method to collect information for Indicator 8. Each year, school systems are selected to participate in the survey. All school systems are not included in the survey results for this indicator.

If your child's school district or charter school is not included in this year's survey, but you would still like to participate, please answer the following survey questions. For a list of school systems selected to participate in this year's survey, please visit our Special Education Parent Involvement Survey page using the link below.

The survey will be available until June 30, 2022.
