Seeking Classroom Scenarios:  Stop-Interrupt
The Inclusive Excellence team is seeking out your experiences and/or ideas about scenarios that we could use as examples of the stop-interrupt strategy in order to step up to bias.

As a quick reminder, the strategy is used when we notice that there is some kind of biased remark. We are hoping to empower all people to stop and interrupt the moment as a way to step up to bias and move towards awareness and education.

We would love to hear about a time that you were able to implement this strategy, a time that you would have liked to, and/or a scenario that you would like some ideas for how to implement this strategy. Please be as specific and descriptive as possible so that all factors can be examined. This scenario can involve a student, parent and/or staff member.

We will use these in our monthly newsletter with the hope that we can empower all staff to feel comfortable in these kinds of situations.
