Regional Director Application
Hi! Thank you so much for your interest in becoming involved in a STEM-based nonprofit.

A little bit about the organization:

STEMThink is a nonprofit dedicated to teaching STEM to girls across the world. During the school year, our virtual workshops will be focused on a variety of STEM concepts, including chemistry, biology, and app and website development.

STEMThink also places an emphasis on the importance of mental health. All of the curriculum that STEMThink uses has been developed with the help of psychologists at the University of Louisville, and mental health practices (ways of coping with stress and anxiety) are incorporated within lesson plans. During the 2020-2021 school year, STEMThink will be offering workshops virtually over the platform Zoom in light of COVID-19. Specifically, these workshops will be held once every week for an hour over a 6-week period.

As a Regional Director, your responsibilities would include marketing these virtual workshops in your area, as well as hosting your own virtual workshops. If your area has allowed group gatherings during this time, you may also host in-person workshops. Generally, we are flexible with allowing our Regional Directors to have full control in whatever initiatives they plan. Past initiatives have included hosting chats with a STEM or mental health professional, demonstrating STEM experiments to local elementary schoolers, and creating a competition for local middle schoolers to show their understanding of STEM concepts.

Once you fill out this form, a STEMThink team member will be in touch and explain more about our Regional Director program, as well as get you on-boarded onto our team.
