Screening + Q&A with NYFA alum Gabriele Fabbro

Monday, March 27 6:30 Pizza Party 7:00 Screening and Q&A Riverside Building, NYFA Theater

In 2018, BFA Filmmaking alum Gabriele Fabbro was on the film festival circuit with his thesis film 8. Today, he is one of MovieMaker Magazine’s 25 Screenwriters to Watch, and his first feature The Grand Bolero is qualified to be nominated for Italy’s prestigious David Di Donatello Award, has distribution on Amazon Prime, and has been an official selection at major festivals from Austin to St. Louis.

Join Crickett Rumley, Senior Director of NYFA’s Film Festival Department, for a pizza party and conversation with Gabriele about his journey from student filmmaker to first time feature director. They’ll discuss everything from what is was like to collaborate with NYFA alumni Jessica la Malfa (DP) and Ydalie Turk (co-writer) on The Grand Bolero, to favorite film festivals, from how to secure financing to what it was like to work with renowned Italian actress Lidia Vitale. Questions welcome!

In collaboration with Denise Carlson's Industry Speaker Series.
