Promoting research collaboration with Ukraine -    A Call for Digital Theme Ambassadors is still open

UK-team of #ScienceForUkraine and The University of Liverpool with a support of EPSRC's Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) aims to promote research collaboration with Ukraine along the Digital Theme (Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational Engineering). Our objective is to help Ukrainian academics at Universities and Research Institutes to integrate into international research network and to find new research contacts. The high-quality research across the Digital Theme should drive the development of the Digital Infrastructure, Digital Economy and IT sector in Ukraine and support the recent OECD Policy Response "Digitalisation for recovery in Ukraine".

As a part of this initiative in March 2023 we will organise the first online conference “Computation and Control in Digital Systems and Complex Real-World Domains” which will overarch a wide range of research topics. The conference should provide a platform for Ukrainian academics to disseminate their research. Also, we will expose Ukrainian research students and Early Career Researchers with novel research ideas in the area of Mathematics, Computer Science, Computational Engineering by a series of invited talks of the world leading experts.


We are inviting volunteers from UK, Ukraine and other countries to build a team of Digital Theme Ambassadors, who can help to promote this initiative, to establish new contacts between Ukrainian research groups and international academics and to support the online research conference in March 2023. Digital Theme Ambassadors will


- establish new contacts between Ukrainian research groups and international academics within UK-Ukraine twinned universities and in a wider international research network 


- help Ukrainian academics at Universities and Research Institutes to integrate into international research network and to promote the research collaboration within their area of expertise 


- facilitate activities that support research teams in preparing for (collaborative) research proposals
