Why?
Jeffco Schools Foundation vision is that every Jeffco student thrives. Many students and educators in our community face and overcome extreme adversity and persevere through challenges to achieve success. We provide supports and celebrate these stories of success. One way is through our annual Hero Awards.
 
What?
Students receive full scholarships to Red Rocks Community College (60 credit hours), a $1,000 award from Jeffco Schools Foundation, and additional supports. Educators receive $500 awards as well, in addition to other supports.

Who?
School partners and community members nominate students and educators, including school staff, in addition to teachers. A selection committee selects four educators and four students as Jeffco Heroes.

When?
Nominations are due by March 15, 2021. Hero honorees will be selected from the nominee pool by April 15, 2021. The virtual Hero 2021 Award Ceremony is scheduled for May 28, 2021 from 8 – 9:30 a.m.

How?
