SWAMP Bioaccumulation Monitoring Training Series - Post-Series Survey
Thank you for participating and giving your time and energy to our Bioaccumulation Monitoring Training Series! Your feedback here will help us improve so we can continue to support our bioaccumulation monitoring community and better support California Tribes in developing programs in the areas of fish and shellfish monitoring, data analysis, and data use processes more transparent, and enable Tribes and other monitoring groups to adopt those processes into their workflows and more easily partner with the SWAMP Bioaccumulation Monitoring Program and Safe to Eat Workgroup.

Six courses were offered from Jan - Dec, 2024:
  • Jan 30 - Intro to the Bioaccumulation Monitoring Program and Safe to Eat Workgroup: This course was intended to act as a brief introduction to the SWAMP Bioaccumulation Monitoring Program (Program) and Safe to Eat Workgroup (STEW), as well as provide an overview of upcoming trainings and how to register.
  • Feb 20 - Bioaccumulation monitoring study design & preparation: This course intended on covering the basics of what is included in a bioaccumulation monitoring study design and the steps one should take to prepare, and things to consider before heading out into the field. 
  • Mar 19 - Bioaccumulation monitoring sample collection protocols & processing: This course intended on covering the essential sample collection and processing protocols and things to consider while out in the field or while in the lab preparing samples for analysis.
  • Sep 17 Bioaccumulation monitoring data QAQC & Tribal data use in the California Integrated Report: This course covered essential quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures to consider for bioaccumulation sampling and analysis, and how Tribal data are used in the California Integrated Report process.
  • Dec 2 - Bioaccumulation monitoring data analysis & interpretation: This course covered the essentials on how to pull bioaccumulation monitoring data from the SWAMP Data Dashboard and California Environmental Data Exchange Network (CEDEN) database, as well as how to analyze and interpret it appropriately.
  • Dec 10 - OEHHA fish consumption advisory development: This course intended to act as a brief introduction to how the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) develops fish consumption advisories.
