Using computers and notebooks: * I will only use the College’s computers for College work and homework * I will only access the computer system with my own login * I will not access other people’s files using the Internet * I will only visit Internet sites which are relevant to my learning as directed by my teacher and will not use social networking sites * I will report any unpleasant material to my teacher immediately * I understand that the College may check my computer files and may monitor the Internet sites that I visit Using mobiles and other new technologies: * If I choose to bring a mobile phone into the College, it must not be seen or heard unless a teacher gives me permission to use it in a lesson to support my learning. I will adhere to the BYOD (Bring Own Device Policy) - see website for full policy - with regards to use of mobile phone outside of lessons Using email: * I will only email people I know, or that my teacher has approved * I understand that email messages I receive or send may be read by others * The messages I send will be polite and responsible * I will not give out my name, my home address or telephone number * I will not use email to arrange to meet someone outside of College hours If you are worried by anything online, speak to your parents. As the parent/carer, I grant permission for my child to use electronic mail and the internet. I understand that students will be held accountable for their own actions. I also understand that some materials on the internet may be objectionable and that the College cannot be held responsible for the content of materials accessed through the internet, although the College have procedures in place to restrict certain content (eg web filtering). I will support the standards set by the College for my child to follow when selecting, sharing and exploring information and media electronically.
