Who can apply?
Any Ohio non-profit organization with a federal ID number such as a school, church, hospital, community agency, or charitable organization may apply for funds on behalf of a child or group of children in need.
What can the funds be used for?
The funds are being offered to support the Imagine for Youth Foundation (IFYF) mission of helping children achieve a healthy, active, and educated life.  Funds can be requested to help an individual child or group of children who may otherwise not be able to access these basic needs without assistance.
What are some examples of acceptable requests?
A coach asking for football shoes or a sports physical for a child who would otherwise not be able to participate due to a lack of family financial means.

A child’s teacher requesting school supplies for a child who does not have them due to a family hardship.

An after-school program keeping kids off the streets in a dangerous neighbor asking for basic sports equipment to keep the kids active.
When are applications reviewed?
Grant requests up to $100 are reviewed monthly.  Grant requests over $100, and not exceeding $500, are scheduled to be reviewed in January, April, July, and October or until the available funds are expended.
What is the Imagine for Youth Foundation?
Imagine for Youth Foundation is a 501c3 charitable organization founded in 2015 by NFL Player and Ohio native, Micah Hyde.  Micah started the IFYF to help ensure kids have the opportunity to participate in sports and experience the benefits associated with being part of a team, including being exposed to positive role models and learning how to reach for their goals.  Micah’s dream of helping kids has grown over the years.  Today, the IFYF mission is to help children achieve a healthy, active, and educated life. The IFYF hosts a free yearly football camp for up to 500 kids; provides Nike shoes for kids through its Kicks for Kids events; provides school supplies for students through its Back-to-School Supply events; and much more.
What are the guidelines for requesting funds?
The IFYF Ohio Committee raises funds each year to support programs and services for youth in Ohio.  The amount of funds available to grant vary from year to year.

Requests for funds must be related to the IFYF mission to help children achieve a healthy, active, and educated life

The funds must benefit youth living in Ohio

Applicants requesting funds must be associated with a non-profit organization with a federal ID number

Requests should not exceed $500

Wages and benefits of organization employees, capital improvements, or operating costs such as rent, utilities, insurance, etc. are not eligible for funding

Applicants receiving grant money will be required to report on the use of the funds including copies of receipts and pictures of the children benefiting from the project or funding.  However, whenever possible, the IFYF will pay vendors directly for project supplies.
