Putney Summer Series #2 Registration
This tournament will take place on Sunday, June 18th. Please use this form to register in advance.

This is the second part of a 4-tournament series. The first in the series was on May 28th, the latter two will be on July 9th and August 13th (all Sundays).

Additionally, there will be a speed chess tournament (blitz and bullet) on July 23rd. These points will not contribute to the overall series points, but should be fun.

Format: 4SS G45+5, two sections Open & U1500 (changed from U1100). USCF membership required. No on-site renewal.

Schedule: Registration 9:15-9:45. Rounds at 10, 11:45, 2:30, 4. Between round 2 and 3 will be ample time to get lunch.

Entry fee: $10 advance entry if both form and payment are sent by June 16th. On-site / late registration: $20. Send entry fees via PayPal to hayden.collins@uvm.edu or Venmo to @collinshayden.

Location: Putney Community Center. 10 Christian Square, Putney VT.

Parking: There is a parking lot on the other side (west) of the main road through Putney. Please park there rather than next to the Community Center.

Equipment: We have extra boards and clocks, but you are of course welcome to use your own.

Prize structure: The prize structure of these tournaments is unorthodox, but should be fun. At the end of each individual tournament, 75% of the total prize fund will be distributed into four prizes (top 2 in each section). The remaining 25% will be distributed to the overall series winners at the last tournament (top 2 in each section). These winners will be those that have the most points summed across all four tournaments.
The goal of this prize structure is to encourage folks to play in all four events during the summer and incentivize fighting for every point possible even if you are not in the running to win that specific tournament. There will be $200 in guaranteed prizes, based on 20 entrants.

Prizes: $50 to Open 1st, $30 to Open 2nd. $50 to U1500 1st, $20 to U1500  2nd. $50 set aside for overall series prize fund.
