Studio Membership is filled from the waitlist when a space becomes available. Membership renews on January 1st. Eligible applicants are offered spots if any open up at this time. Occasionally spots open up mid-year. Studio Membership Studio have eligibility requirements. 

As of January 1, 2024, active General Members is a requirement to be offered a Studio Membership with the Mississisauga Potters' Guild.  

Candidates must demonstrate the required experience to be able to work independently in the studio. Only candidates who have the following experience can apply for Studio Membership: 

Have taken 3 or more 10-week classes with the Mississauga Potters’ Guild or elsewhere

or 

Demonstrate equivalent experience 

A $75 initiation fee will apply to new members who have not taken classes at the MPG.

Studio Member responsibilities:

The Guild is a non-profit community based organization run by and for its members. All Studio members are required to contribute time to the operation of the Guild to ensure the studio space is properly maintained and runs efficiently. . 

All Studio members are required to join  a team or serve on the Board to help run events including sales, exhibitions and classes, etc. Additionally cleaning of the studio is shared by all Studio members.
