College and Career Readiness Assessments                          OSTP High School AssessmentsStudents enrolled in 11th grade will be given the Oklahoma College and Career Ready Assessment (CCRA), which consists of two parts.                                                                        For part 1, each district will choose to administer either the ACT or SAT, including the writing section.                                                                  Part 2 consists of Science Content Assessment which is aligned to the Oklahoma Academic Standards for Science and U.S. History Assessment which is aligned to the Oklahoma Academic Standards for U.S. History.  Students are required to take the CCRA on the state testing date.  This assessment will be used for state accountability purposes.                                                                                        Please indicate whether you are a student, parent, or teacher *
ACT vs. SAT                                                               In considering testing options for Pocola High School for the state testing requirements, the following points were considered to determine that the ACT is the best choice for our students. *ACT test components closely reflect credits required by the SDE and classes offered at Pocola High School.  ACT contains a science section - SAT does not.                                       *ACT allows the use of a calculator - SAT allows calculator only on a particular set of questions.      *ACT composite score is an average of all sections of the exam.  The SAT is a combined score of the exam.  Therefore, if a student is weak in one particular area,  the ACT overall results will not be negatively reflected as it would be with the SAT.                                        *SAT test components only consist of math and reading.                                                                  *SAT allows for calculator use only on a particular set of questions.                                  *SAT score results show a combined score of math and reading.                                                                                       Please type your name below to indicate that you have read and understand the information
