What is water polo?
Water polo is a team sport, like soccer and basketball, where each player has to play both offense and defense, and are constantly in motion.  There are six field players and a goalie playing at one time.

Skills that make Buchanan Area Water Polo players successful:
1. Good throwing and catching skills - Softball and Baseball players do well in water polo!
2. Enjoy movement based team sports - Basketball and Soccer players enjoy playing water polo!
3. Strong swimming ability - If you like surfing or swimming you will like water polo!
