INTRODUCTION
Code: Re-Farm is an European research project whose aim is to understand the key strengths and weaknesses of the two main farming systems: intensive livestock production systems (ILPS) and Extensive livestock production systems (ELPS). The project focus is on three different supply chains: dairy goat supply chain, poultry meat supply chain and poultry eggs supply chain. The overall goal is to understand the links between husbandry systems and intrinsic quality of animal products.
Conventional and novel technologies will be exploited for assessing the intrinsic quality of products along the value chain (Product Lifecycle Monitoring), from farm to fork.
Future challenges of goat and poultry industry will be studied and will be suggested relevant modifications and alternative
business models & ecosystem management practices that fit sustainable, consumer-driven business, with the final goal to increase the added value of products.
The purpose of this questionnaire is to collect information from all stakeholders in the three selected value chains to ensure that the overall project pilot study is consistent with the needs, challenges, and aspirations of the farmers, but also aligned with the industry and societal demands & expectations along the value chain.
