Volunteers make our community go round!
Assistant Teachers support teachers to carry the rhythm of the day. They care for young ones with radical empathy, and make sure children are safe and joyful during their time with us. Assistant Teachers are pro-active with details and next steps, they ensure transitions are seamless by supporting students that need extra transition time, transitioning materials, and anticipating needs. Assistant teachers learn from FFS Teachers and Lead Teachers by diligent observation and asking questions!
This position is a great opportunity for students, people beginning a career in early childhood education, or current educators who are interested in expanding their pedagogical practice into a more liberatory, decolonial, and consent-centered one.
